One Duck, Two Ducks—One Goose, Two?

Those of you who have gone beyond the basics in English grammar know how most singular nouns can be made plural: you add the suffix -s, at time -es depending on the last sound of the singular form. Then you learnt that there are exceptions. These, however, are not lawless.

In the image above each word is representative of a rule; so, nine words, nine rules. If you already know the rules, producing their plural form is a great revision, memory-awakening activity. Conversely, if you don’t know them, this would be a great list to use while you search the internet or your English textbook for the rules.

Is there a spelling rule you'd like to remember more easily?
